Re: GAME 81: Celtics (45-35) at Cleveland (40-40)

I think that was the earlier poster's point -- it's a game that has huge implications for the eastern conference in terms of playoff. It's disrespectful to the league and to the game itself to tank, when that severely affects so many professionals giving it their all. Plus, your fans expect you to give it your all every night.

Larry Brown said his team has nothing more to play for, but he would play starters as normal out of respect for NJ & Philly...I wish Boston had done the same tonight.

Yes, let's put our big guns in danger of being hurt out of 'respect' for the Nets

And let's leave Larry Brown out of this, that whiny opportunistic *******. Fool knows nothing about class.

Besides, whoever wins the 8 seed isn't only going to play the Heat, they're going to get destroyed by the Heat, so does it really matter?

Re: GAME 81: Celtics (45-35) at Cleveland (40-40)

lol...It doesen't matter but what an upset that would be, Miami going out in the first round...As unlikely as it is I would love to see it...

I think Philedelphia has a chance at taking Detroit out and if that happened the C's would be in control...Thats where my other side of my brain will be besides the Celtics...That series is key I feel...

Sorry if that was off topic...

?????????????????? Larry Brown STARTED Darko Milicic and he played 30 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Larry Brown is doing the same thing Doc is, resting his starters. He told Darko he'll start again tonight too.

That was in reference to the Detroit - Cavs game. Before the game, Larry Brown said he'll play his starters out of respect for NJ & Philly and he did, winning a close 90-87 game. Of course, he's starting Darko in games that have no impact on playoff standing.

I see your point but the bottom line is we have to look out for the CELTICS first and foremost...what would happen if Paul Peirce or Walker or Davis got injured in one of these last 2 games that mean nothing for us.....we can't risk that.......as it is they all still played quite a bit against Cleveland (more than I would have liked actually). Also we need our young guys to know what they are doing in the playoffs because we are going to need them so this is really good experience for them. I mean I understand how someone could be upset but the bottom line is teams have to look out for themselves first and that's what the Celts are doing right now.

Cav's game..

Being there and seeing the guys you watch on Tv every game is just out of this world. All the guys coming out of the locker room pumped up.
Pierce danced most of the warmups the time he was out there lol.
You could tell the guys felt good about themselves..

The funniest thing I saw in the warmups had to be a 1 on 1 game that Al Jefferson and Gary Payton had going on lol..
Everytime Big Al would score on Payton he would celebrate lol..
His arms went flying in the air and a huge smile on his face.
Some of the moves he has in the post are just mind blowing.
Ainge better make damn sure we keep this kid.

Once the game got started though.
No Defense was played.
We sucked very badly in that dept. I thought.
I sort of figured Pierce wouldn't do too much.
When I looked at the box score and saw he had taken 9 shots it was weird.
During the game it didn't look like he had taken 5 shots.
That was my disappointment.
I wanted Paul to have a good game.
What I did see out of him was the dunk on someone.
Been waiting on that all year lol.
I jumped out and yelled something out.
This Cav's fan was like "GO BACK TO BOSTON" lol ..
I just laughed at em.

They really hate Ricky in Ohio.
When he was shooting free throws.
This guy stands up and says "Ricky !!, We hate you in northest Ohio"
The person with me said, "We'll keep him in Boston" And I nodded.

For the most part though, Everyone was nice.
Really enjoyed the game though.
It was something else.
Next year, I'm coming to Boston baby.
