you cant just "trade the pick" that easily...you need someone who is interested and if you want to trade it for a current player and not another pick you have to include a player on the celts...so like blount and the number 18 for someone...unless there is something int he mix that we dont know about the only thign we could trade the pick for is more picks...what good is that...and considering half the superstars in the nba are international players i dont see why you can say u hate international players

Re: Leni-Ukic????
I agree with most, I am not crazy about Euros, just because we haven't seen any of them play, but from what I have read about Ukic, he is the real deal a 6'5" point guard with a 6-9 wingspan who is a great passer, shooter, and defender, and you have to realize this is the 18th pick so it is more or less a crap shoot anyway, I do know that Ainge likes the big point guard so maybe it is worth a shot. I personally think that if Ukic is as good as people say he is he most likely will be gone at 16 or 17 to Toronto or Indiana.

I like him, although I would take Jarret Jack over him in terms of who is a better point guard.

Re: Leni-Ukic????
How about Toronto's pick (Charlotte owns the right to ) for the 18th this year?

Re: Leni-Ukic????
I always say "Don't take Euro's in the 1st round" because they're never a sure thing, BUT I'd always take a chance on a Euro point guard, in fact any international point guard. Most of them know how to play the game...fundemenatlly.

Re: Leni-Ukic????
From what I've read I'd take a shot on this Roko. I'd really love to have him if he can defend shooting guards while playing the point. It would let Delonte play his natural position (I like him as a SG, not a PG) and not be a liability on defense.

Re: Leni-Ukic????
This would be a very good selection for the Celts, his workouts have been phenomenal they say which is why he's shooting up the draft boards. He is a true PG in a 6'5" body and he can play the uptempo, plus a big bonus unlike many Europeans they say he CAN hold his own on the defensive end too.

Delonte is a PG height with PG skills...I don't see how SG is his natural position

I like Jack and he sounds like he's going to be a solid player but the two things that I don't like about him are A) his low ceiling and B) his 4.5-3.4 asst-TO ratio last year.
There are a few things to like about Ukic...he has good height for a PG and is supposedly good for an uptempo offense. also, he was 3rd in his league in scoring and first in assists this year...this is a good cause i hate foreign players who averaged 4 and 2 but look great in workouts. However, Euro busts happen all the time and I'm not going to totally buy into this guy until I see him play in the NBA.
Right now I'd say it's a wash between him and jack

I hate Euro's too.... that is why I am so glad we took Joe Forte instead of Tony Parker..... NOT!!!!
I hope Danny takes the best player available and if it is Roko-Ono - AWESOME!

Re: Leni-Ukic????
Delonte West has skills?
I'm with Sam(Iam). Take the best player available. We don't have any glaring needs so drafting by position wouldn't be all too efficient. It never hurts to have depth.
