Is Pierce Done For?
hey guys...it's my first time to post here...im a huge celtic fan as well as for the lakers...hehe...for the past years i've been impressed with the celtics going back to the playoffs..i was saddened when the nets eliminated the celts back in 2002 and 2003..damn jason kidd..anyway the celts have not been able to go back to the Conference Finals in about 3 years now..and lately the Truth has been loosing his composure in crunch time during the playoffs against indiana..you guys think it's time for him to move on?

Re: Is Pierce Done For?
Well, after just two series' that the Celtics' have lost in Indiana, I don't think you could say that Pierce has lost his "crunch time playoff compsure", but he has certainly performed less fourth-quarter ramapages. He has been great in the playoffs though, especially this past season.

Re: Is Pierce Done For?
PP gives you the best of time and the worst of times. He needs another star player to even work right. I still think that there is a 50% chance that he may be out the door. He is a good player but his value is going way down, because of his stunts in the Playoffs (not just last year). I think if D.A trades him it will be for garbage

Vets arent gonna help the young talent as much as teh coaching staff. The best they would do is take their playing time, something we all compalin about.

We may not need him in 4/5 years, but we definitely need him now. No one will watch a loosing team, no matter how exciting/young they are.

Re: Is Pierce Done For?
The Celtics NEED Pierce now. Without Pierce for the next couple of years your looking at a 35-40 win team AT BEST.

lol? 35-40? You're nuts, with Pierce that's their record, without him it's 20-25.

What the hell are you talking about? Seriously. "At best" means best case scenario what's the absolute best record they can achieve. They could have a fluke season and win 40 games. Or they could live up to the low expectations and win jack.

Re: Is Pierce Done For?
I think you need one of either Walker or pierce, (or maggette) to win right now the best thing this team can do is sign Toine trade Pierce for Maggette and something else and work from there.
