Kedrick Where Art Thou?

Kedrick Brown has not played a single minute in the Celtics' last two games, notwithstanding the absence of Battie and Pierce (for 3 out of 8 quarters). This leads me to speculate that Kedrick may have been traded in a deal that has not been announced yet.

If they have traded Kedrick even up for Nazr Mohammed, or if they have somehow managed to put together a deal to unload Baker, I can live with it. Otherwise, I'm scared. Chris Wallace has not exactly been on a roll lately.

kedrick brown

I also find it strange that Kedrick is not playing.

The Celtic management and coaching has gone on record saying that this is the guy for the future. He is the lone leftover from the big three first rounders from 2001. I have been patiently waiting for Kedrick to start producing for the C's. I think that it is tough for O'Brien to play him because of his terrible outside shooting. Obie is very perimeter oriented (to a fault) so guys that shoot, play.

I would not be opposed to moving Kedrick and I would really like to get Nazr. We need the rebounding and interior defense that he would bring.

As it is now I do not see Kedrick helping much in the playoff run and the priority needs to be on winning now while Paul and Twone are in their primes.

I do not think that the new owners are satisfied going into the post season as is. the only guy who has trade value for the C's is Kedrick. All of these factors lead me to believe that a deal is in the works.

There is nothing wrong with Kedrick's shooting. It's just a matter of confidence. His technique is good. He should concentrate on the 16-18 ft shot and forget about 3's for awhile.

With everything else that Kedrick brings to the floor, why do they even need him to shoot? They preach defense so much, and yet one of their best defenders sits. That's what I don't get. Kedrick can get you stops, which can be just as good as scoring a basket. They've had pretty good success starting Kedrick at SF and bringing Eric off the bench. Both of them play better that way. History has shown that if you play Kedrick several games in a row, he gets better and better, but when you sit him for long stretches, he doesn't produce. I think it would be easy to get him playing time as long as OB doesn't expect him to score much.

I love KB, I think he'll help us a lot. But he'll never be able to do what he can with scrub minutes. I do hope we trade him, because lets face it, he won't be helping us at all untill he learns to shoot the 3.

A reason why Walta is getting all his minutes.

Whatever happened to the "KB is in the starting rotation" junk from OB?
