Does anyone know why in the world Doc is keeping Kandi on the bench with Al & Perk both injured. I mean don't get me wrong, I don't expect him to suddenly become the guy he was supposed to be when drafted #1 overall but Doc is playing Scalabrine instead!!!! I mean I'm sorry, he's not THAT bad. Does Doc want us to lose? Kandi has had a good attitude since coming here and he says he likes how Boston plays, why not let him play until Al & Perk are healthy....it's not like Scal has gotten ANY better!

Really good point!
What do we have to lose by letting him have some minutes. We're paying him, we might as well play him. He might not be a monster, but you never know what effect a different combo of players might have. But then again, Doc has demonstrated that he knows little about team chemistry.
Only reason i can think of is that kandi isn't in the teams long term plan so no point in playing him. Scab is going to be here for a while so give him playing time to improve. Dont like the idea though, scabs is here to be at the end of the bench and play a few min. He shouldn't be allow to play more than 10-15 min per game.

It would be decent reasoning if it were one of the young pups but I mean Scal is a veteran who, lets face it, is what he is, I don't see him getting better. Sooo it would make sense that in the situation we are in to play Kandi..he's played decent when he's played for us and we are renting him for the rest of the season anyway and then he's gone. I just can't take 35 minutes of Scal I really can't.

You could have moved Veal with Kandi to Lakers in that Minnesota trade, and getting Kwame Brown... I'm sure that Phil would actually rather have Veal and Kandi in his team than Brown... And maybe Kwame would've do something better, since he wouldn't be playing PF in Boston (he isn't terrible as a C, but as a PF he is...)

Thrilled to reach the 2700th post! Coming with a
lot more of great trade ideas (the most beloved ones in this board), you can expect that!
Thanks to all members of this site, you guys are great.
Kwame Brown is paid 22.68 million dollars over three seasons for mediocre production. I'll take Olowokandi's expiring and Scalabrine's contract over Brown.

Tru dat. I like Kwame (Somehow??? I dont know) but not with a financial commitment like that. Ive always had faith that Kwame would develop, but I'm afraid hes looking worse and worse.
