He's working out for NBA teams. The Nets may sign him.

I know he's working out for NBA teams I'm not living in a cave......but the fact is I know his injury firsthand and he will never be good enough....if the Nets sign him he'll be on the bench and they'll have done it out of sheer hope that he can be JWill again which he can't. Bobby Hurley made a comeback too where is he now? Not playing, just because he's trying to come back does not mean he'll ever be good again. Believe me I wish I was wrong I like JWill and I feel for the kid one stupid mistake ruined his life....but it's not gonna happen man, he had NERVE damage. This is the NBA not the CBA..........just wait and see and if I'm wrong great for JWILL but I highly doubt it.

Re: trade paul pierce
If you're gonna trade Pierce, you should move him for some good role players and expiring contracts (and a pick)... And send some bad contracts with him if you can:
Boston trades Pierce, Raef, Scalabrine and Dickau to Memphis
Memphis trades a resigned Wright to Spurs; Eddie Jones (big expiring contract, good veteran), Cardinal, Battier and #19 pick to Boston;
San Antonio trade Rasho Nesterovic and one (or even two) 2nd rounders to Boston;
With this move, Memphis won't need their pick; They'll add Pierce to compliment Gasol, Raef to play some C and Scalabrine to play in Cardinal minutes. Dickau is their backup PG.
Boston will do a great step in rebuilding project getting a nice hardworker guy in Battier, Eddie Jones to bring some experience that Pierce was bringing (and his expiring contract), Cardinal, which is a better version of Scalabrine, and Rasho to be your backup C. I'm sure that Ainge can draft something good with the Memphis pick. And about the SA 2nd rounders, he can move them in some future trade, who knows?! Rasho contract is bad, but Boston will be rid of the other bad contracts at all...
San Antonio add in Wright a better overall player to help Duncan and be rid of Rasho contract.

Re: trade paul pierce
package Pierce with Raef and get a big expiring contract along with a couple of young guys.
maybe Odom + Kwame + Von Wafer for Pierce + Raef
Edit: I think he should stay in Boston though.
with these young guys developing rapidly they could be great in the near future and bring glory back to boston, hell, LA looks to be doing the same thing...
LA vs Boston 2008 NBA Finals, book it.

Los Angeles needs a point guard and a legitimate post-presence rather than another elite wing player.
Also, Kwame Brown has two years left on his contract; Lamar Odom has four. Von Wafer is the only expiring contract in this deal and he is being paid about $664,000.

Re: trade paul pierce
Boston shouls trade him to get out of Raef and Scali's contracts and maybe pick up a pick or two and concentrate on developing the youngsters next season and taking a swing for Oden.
PG Marcus Williams
SG Gerald Green
SF Ryan Gomes
PF Al Jefferson
C Kendrick Perkins
This should be the starters with prospects , picks and vets acquired in moving Pierece as the depth. This gives the team the ability to see who is viable long term. Will Green develop into an elite scorer? Will Jefferson become a good rebounder and reliable post scorer?
Heck I would trade Pierce for PJ Brown (to be moved to a contender at the trade deadline or waived but serving as mentor until then), JR Smith, #12,#15 then draft Ronnie Brewer at 7, Saer Sene at 12 and Rajon Rondo at 15. Then trade Wally for anything you can get expiring.
PG Delonte West, Rajon Rondo
SG JR Smith, Gerald Green
SF Ryan Gomes, Ronnie Brewer
PF Al Jefferson, PJ Brown, Brine
C Kendricke Perkins, Saer Sene, Raef
Run, run run...get your brains beat in, develop the youngsters, and get a good chance at an impact player in 2007.

Re: trade paul pierce
Ronnie Brewer wants to play point guard and would fit perfectly with the Celtics in a point-forward role in which he would guard the primary offensive wing player on the opposing team, but play point guard on offense. This would allow Delonte West to play his natural shooting guard position on offense, while not having to guard shooting guards on defense, noting the height discrepancy.
I love Saer Sene and his potential, but Kendrick Perkins [assuming he recovers from minor shoulder surgery] is a player who does everything Sene does, but Perkins is not raw. Perkins is a better rebounder as Sene allegedly is not aware of proper techniques to box-out instead using his awesome length and athleticism to rebound the ball. Perkins is an above-average shot-blocker. Sene will be a great shot-blocker, but Perkins does fine in this category. Perkins is a good defensive player, though his help defense must be improved. Sene, allegedly, is a also a good interior defender, however his help defense is much better. I do not believe that he is as good of a post defender as he is only at 235 (?) lbs. Perkins is one of the strongest players in the league.
I'm fairly certain that the majority of the Celtics' fans are not willing to watch yet another season, in which the Celtics essentially tank [ML Carr]. Fan interest would significantly drop and I doubt the ownership group is willing to go forth with such a plan.
