You think he could have been doing that all season if he had the minutes? I say yes, since Rondo is just freaky good.
I think that at the beginning of the year Rondo could have easily put up those kind of numbers. If he had played the whole season he might have been even better.
Instead of playing Rondo throughout the season, I saw Doc killing his confidence with constant yelling, pulling him for any mistake, and basically making Rondo his personal beeyotch.

Re: Doc to get extension
You can't go from zero playing time to twenty plus minutes per game. Doc starts guys one night and the next night, that same player will finish with a DNP-CD. Thankfully, Rondo hasn't been all too affected by it.

I must say, I do agree with this.
There's no reason why Rondo should have had consistant minutes since day one of the season...except for the fact that Glenn likes to keep players on the pine until the middle of the season.
For anyone who needs more details, please turn to page 2005/2006, where Ryan Gomes was sitting on the bench and then took the rookies by storm.
On the other hand, we could have Jimmy O developing players.

That Andre Iguodala turned out pretty good, didn't he?

I agree that Doc should have played Rondo consistently. Rondo was good starting in the preseason. There's no reason for him to have been benched. I was just disagreeing because you said Rondo took a step backward, and I don't think he did, despite Doc's rotations.
