Re: Undrafted Centers

PJ Brown is done.

And send Earl Barron over the Bulls way.

You guys should have taken Aaron Gray with one of your 2nd rounders. He looks like a legit NBA starting caliber center so far. He will definitely be better than Big Baby, and would be a good compliment to your team...and he's NBA ready.

You're basing this on what, summer league? Needless to say, it's way too soon.

I say no the greek center Jake. You have to be decent to provide depth. No point in just getting size who won't play much.

He's not a center so I'm straying from the topic of the thread some but I like Devin Brown as a backup guard. He's decent. He can come off the bench and hit some shots and he's played in some big games.

Re: Undrafted Centers

I also think Ely would be a great pickup and think that if Kendrick doesn't step up that Ely could become a starter. He is underrated by lots of people and looked really good when starting on Charlotte, which I know was a bad team.

Anyways, he'd be the best guy to snap up for a couple mil, leaving a few more to get the PG.

Re: Undrafted Centers

i dont think rookies are the way to go, there are 2nd rounders already set to get minutes on this team, plus vets are lining up to play here now.

to fill in at center i think PJ Brown and Melvin Ely would be the most productive for what boston actually needs

-EDIT- should have tried to throw in Chris Richard in the KG trade, kids a monster

Because that's exactly what we need.... Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Eddie House can do that. We don't need a big man shooter.

Re: Free Agent Big Men [merged]

You guys can probably sign Mutombo and Skinner with the MLE. Skinner shouldnt be asking for the full MLE, and I dont think Deke will ask for the whole MLE. Hell, maybe they will take a paycut just to play along side the big 3.

So the frontcourt would be like this:
C: Perkins/Mutombo
PF: KG/Skinner/Scalabrine/Powe

Not bad imo. Anyways, this is just my thoughts on the matter. Doubt it will actually happen.
