Celtics director of operations Danny Ainge confirmed today that second round pick Glen Davis has agreed to a deal with team. The Celtics are expected to formally announce the transaction on Tuesday. | |

Gomes, Powe and Reed were signed for a three year MLE contract.

I think that sort of bears out what I've been saying about the one hole. Sarunas is a terrible defender, but offensively his game's a perfect fit for what Boston needs in their starting five.

i think he would do the job as rondos back up, but theres no way id trade davis for him, which shows his value is pretty low.
hope for a buyout, cause they wont take Scal and its not worth giving up a solid young guy.

I think the Powe/Davis talk was wishful thinking on the writer's part, because even combined they don't make enough to be used in trade for Sarunas. I'm assuming that Boston's just waiting for a buyout. Also, as someone that struggles to create for others, Sarunas would make a terrible backup. As a starter it isn't an issue as he'd just be playing off Garnett & Pierce.

Wouldn't make any sense for either team. We'd lose any sort of poor depth we had in the first place at the 4/5, and GS would just pick up 2 average players.
