I am giving Doc till the all star break. If this team underachieves with him, I can see him getting canned and Thibodeau msy step in as head coach. He seems really qualified enough to. I know we need a coach like JVG to handle our guys more. Doc should only be known as the "youth movement coach". I don't think he fits with this group of guys too good.
If say the record is 28-20, that should even get Doc fired. There should only be room for a true winning record with this new team they got now.

I think it's the exact opposite. His inability to handle line-ups and teach defense were his biggest liabilities. That made him an awful coach for the youth movement.

They won't fire Doc during the season. If the Celtics don't make the Finals, I think he isn't asked to return next offseason, but firing him during the season will completely ruin team chemistry and automatically make the Celtics a worse team.

i agree, this team will make the playoffs regardless... doc will be judged on the playoffs and how he handles them.
