Gerald Green
so I've been totally under a rock for the past three years
but kept up with the Celtics at least a bit, so knew about the Garnett trade (Cassell, I did not know)
and I assumed that Green was ripping it up in Minny
but he was traded to Houston
and was released??
ok
can we sign him again, please?
or is he totally washed up now?

Re: Gerald Green
Green just couldn't find his role on every team he has been with.He has the potential to be a key bench player, but he's sometimes considered to be inconsistent.I won't say he's totally washed up.He still has a lot of growing up to do in the league.IMO,he should be in the d-league for longer period. He can definitely develop his work ethics there.

well the dude played pretty well with the celtics last year, didn't he? inconsistency is expected from a kid who should be a sophomore in college. i remember when i was a sophomore, i attended maybe like fifteen classes all year long and woke up in the tv lounge of some dorm more often than i did in my own dormroom.
yeah he needs more time in the D-League, but I think he's ineligible, no? don't you have to be in the first two years or something? can't we just take him back and prep for the post-big three era that will happen within the next four years, when, oh, Green will be entering maturity? (as was the plan when we drafted him in the first place?)

Re: Gerald Green
Green is clueless on the court. No need to bring him back as he simply is not smart enough to play the game at the level that we need him to play at.

Re: Gerald Green
I'd rather have Green than Eddie Jones as a Mavs fan. Eddie gets very little PT and why not use that to develop someone vs trying to steal minutes with someone who's been playing for 10+ years already. Oh wait, I forgot we're trying to Win (a 1st round series) Now!

Re: Gerald Green
After his McDonalds game performance I figured he would be at least a decent pro. He should have gone to college.

He'd be a whole lot poorer had he gone to college. He wasn't eligible to play as a freshman, and might not have made the academic cut as a soph, at which point his draft stock would have been in the ****ter. He should probably go play for the Globetrotters for a while.
