That is true, PG is the most difficult position, I just get nervous when I see what Ford, Hinrich, Ridnour, S. Blake, have done this season, but he could very well bloom later...look at Chauncey.
I found an article about the development of PGs. The methods author uses are a bit questionable but he comes to the logical conclusion that improvement of rookie PGs is less predictable than at other positions.

Ridnour's time is very inconsistent also. I really hope I'm wrong but I don't know if Marcus is gonna cut the mustard, he's incredibly athletic and a gifted defender but he looks lost A LOT. Seeing Chucky play last night, it was sooooo nice to finally have a guy capable of being a real point guard. Maybe he can mentor Marcus, that would be great, but I'm just afraid Marcus may be a SG in a PG body like I first feared

Your point that all the other rookie PG's are doing better is valid, but take this into consideration. Heinrich and Ford were both drafted higher and thought of as better players than Banks. Ridinour hasn't impressed me too much with his play. The other point I would like to make is the team Marcus plays for is not the same team he started the season playing for. There has been so many chages this year that Pierce doesn't now what to do anymore and he isn't a rook. Give the rookie the benefit of the doubt. He needs to get used to his new teammates and a new system in mid-year without much practice time. Not an easy thing to do.
