Re: Lanteri's 2k6 Celtics Association

Game 27: Boston Celtics (10-16) at Golden State Warriors

Mike Dunleavy Jr. Records a Triple Double, Celtics Fall 104-96

Oakland- You know there's something wrong with your defense when you let anyone not named Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson or LeBron drop 41 points on you. Never mind the former Duke "star" Mike Dunleavy. Not only did he shoot 17 of 29 from the floor and collect 40 points, he also grabbed 11 boards, and dished out 11 assists in what probably was his best game in his life. "I didn't even think I could do that playing NBA Live playing as myself never mind do it in a game." said Dunleavy. On the Celtics side Paul Pierce put together a solid game going for 31 points, 10 rebounds, and a pair of steals. The key stat in tonight's game was turnovers. The Celtics would turn the ball over 17 times, to the Warriors 6, and the Warriors would score 28 fast break points, which ultimately lead to the Celtics demise.

Note: These are now 12 minute quarter games, as I found sliders that work.

No need, Perkins just needs more minutes. This guy is a walking triple double.

Seriously, how many blocks does Perk average in your league?

Celtics Point Guard Carousel Continues

Boston- After falling out of favor with head coach Lanteri T.J. Ford and Mark Blount as well as a 2nd round draft pick have been shipped off to San Antonio for Tony Parker. For the season Tony Parker is averaging 13.6 ppg, 7.3 apg and shooting 46% from the field. The Celtics gave up T.J. Ford who putting up numbers of 8.7 ppg, 7.2 apg, and shooting 45% from the floor. Mark Blount was averaging 8.3 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 1.0 bpg. The Celtics hope that Tony Parker can be a leader as Nelson and have Ford have already failed to do just that so far this season. This trade leaves the Celtics questionable as to their depth at the center position, but it's been noted that LaFrentz will be backing up Perkins, and Ryan Gomes will backup Jefferson at the 4 as well as Scalabrine.

Even when you double Blounts rebounds, they still look god awful.

Game 29: Boston Celtics (10-18) at L.A. Clippers

Celtics Defense Finally Comes Alive, Win 96-91

Los Angeles- For the first time in a long time the Boston Celtics finally showed some signs of life on the defensive side of the ball. Paul Pierce stepped up his defense after being called out by coach Lan and held Maggette to 3 for 15 shooting on the night. The Clippers as a team would shoot 37%, and only 1 of 11 from 3. The Celtics bench would make a major contribution tonight outscoring the Clips bench 36-28, on the heels of Gerald Green's 12 point, 4 rebound, 4 assist performance off the bench in his first game back from his bruised hip. Orien Greene turned in a solid performance off the bench scoring 2 points, dishing out 6 assists, and nabbed 3 steals.

Player Stats

Boston
Paul Pierce- 20 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals
Tony Parker- 15 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds
Ricky Davis- 14 points, 3 assists
Raef LaFrentz- 12 points, 8 rebounds
Gerald Green- 12 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists
Al Jefferson- 7 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, 2 blocks
Justin Reed- 6 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block
Kendrick Perkins- 4 points, 14 rebounds
Ryan Gomes- 4 points, 2 rebounds
Orien Greene- 2 points, 6 assists, 3 steals

Clippers
Cuttino Mobley- 21 points, 7 assists, 5 steals
Elton Brand- 20 points, 16 rebounds, 2 blocks
Corey Maggette- 12 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists
Quinton Ross- 11 points, 2 rebounds

Now your trade comes out to Allen, Banks, 1st rounder, T.J. Ford, Mark Blount, a 2nd rounder for Jameer Nelson and Parker.

Re: Lanteri's 2k6 Celtics Association

Game 30: Boston Celtics (11-18) at Denver Nuggets

Celtics End Road Trip on a High Note, 95-87

Denver- In their 2nd straight strong defensive performance the Boston Celtics would finish off their west coast road trip on a high note. Lead by Pierce's 5 steals, and Perkins 4 blocks the Celtics defense was in full force. Couple that with the fact that the Nuggets have absolutely no shooters and you get one ugly mess on their offensive side of the ball. Anthony lead the Nuggets with 19 points on 6 of 19 shooting, and turned the ball over 4 times on top of that. Andre Miller also continued a lovely 2 for 15 from the field, in a display of why Tony Parker is a very good defensive point guard. The Celtics were lead by Pierce's 21 points, 5 assist, 5 steal performance, whiler Parker added 18, and Jefferson had a double double with 14 and 12. The Celtics will be traveling bck home to face off against the Bobcats.
