In or Out? (2/21) GONZAGA
Record: 19-10, 9-3 WCC
Notable wins: UNC, Stanford, Texas
Notable losses: Santa Clara (twice), Loyola Marymount, Saint Mary's
I don't believe they have Heytvelt, do they? Committee will take that into consideration, I believe.

The committee can take injuries into consideration but rarely do (which is correct, becuase this is a team game and assessing the loss of a player, is WAY, WAY too subjective)
19-10
72 RPI
3-6 vs top 50
No chance to really improve there resume with the upcoming schedule... even if they win out except for the WCC title game, tehre RPI probably would be in the sixties.
Win the tourney or they are out.
If Santa Clara wins out at 14-2 in conference to win the regular season, they might have a better, yet very limited shot at an at-large.
I think the WCC is a one team league this year

JuniorNoboa is right, this is a one league conference. An RPI in the 70s or worse isn't going to get you into the tourney no matter who you've beaten. I think Santa Clara will win this conference since the Zags are without Heytvelt.

Re: In or Out? (2/21) Gonzaga
As I got to above, the big problem with Gonzaga is they have to improve there resume from here on out, but in the WCC you simply do not have that ability.
Now compare to Syracuse. Syracuse and Gonzaga probably have equal resumes right now or close to it. Both are on the far outskirts of the bubble
But Syracuse has the chance to impress:
- Beat Georgetown at home, and win one road game against Providence or Nova, and those are nice victories plus a 10-6 record in the Big East
Committee can't ignore 10-6 in the BE or a nice run in the BE tourney, and an RPI in the lower 50's
But they will ignore 13-3 in the WCC and an RPI in the 60's.

Re: In or Out? (2/21) Gonzaga
I think Gonzaga can still win the WCC Tourny, It's at home which helps and Downs is starting to emerge as a great player who can provide some offense off of the bench.

They do consider the last 10 games of the "team". So inherently it will be considered. But they do that for every team (injuries or not)
