I think so. Kansas won't get a 1...their RPI is too low. The Big 10 will only get one 1 seed. 15-3 in what a lot of people thought to be the best conference, with no home losses and the 2nd best RPI. They seem safe to me.

Anyone else think Oregon could be a #3 seed? They demolished the Pac Ten tourney.

They are definitely either a 3 or a 4. I think I'll probably move them ahead of Texas or Texas A&M when it's all said and done, giving them a 3 seed.

I don't think many people believe the Pac 10 to be the best conference anymore. Big East and ACC are clearly better.

Re: New Bracketology (Updated Daily)

Well the top teams have been fighting for the no.1 spot in the polls throughout the season. There is no clear cut no.1 or top team in the nation. Everyone was talking about Florida winning another championship but they have been shaky before the tournament so who knows.

Do I think UCLA will get a 1 seed? Yes, they have one of the best RPIs in the country.

Ohio State, UNC, UCLA, and a toss up between Florida and Kansas but I am leaning on Florida.

Looks like most no.1s on board.

Also for the 2 seed is a bit gray after that.

Kansas, Memphis, Wisconsin, Georgetown, Pittsburgh have a chance for the 2 seed.

My question comes to this....

Where do you slot Southern Illinois? I would like to put them in the conversation for the 2 seed as well but I might get flame or called stupid for even mentioning their name.

I'm baised but I agree. If someone like Washington State get's a 3 seed over them I'll be pissed.

Glad someone else agrees. Their mid-season struggle really depressed their stock for awhile because it looked like they were going to finish the season with a whimper, but the last 6 games have really erased that. I'll be happy with either a 3 or 4 as long as we're in the Spokane pod.

Last one off
Georgia, West Virginia, Kansas State, Syracuse

I'm gonna be way too lazy to do this tommorow and I was in the mood to bust a bracket, so here is my "early" predictions a few certain seeds could change tommorow of course
for example if kansas looses and wisconsin wins they will probalby exchange spots...
it was really hard to leave clemson off, but the way they've been playing they don't deserve it
they can prove themselves by winning the NIT
according to my bracket predictions

George Wash makes to Sweet 16
Texas AM goes to final 4
VCU and Virginia Tech make it to Sweet 16
Georgetown beats Virginia Tech in elite 8
UCLA gets revenge on Florida to go to final 4
Boston College looses to Winthrop in Elite 8

Texas Am defeats Georgetown
UCLA blows out Wintrop

UCLA and Texas AM in a close match and after a 3 pointer by Acie Law put A&M by 1
Darren Collison takes the ball full court with no timeouts and gets the game winning lay up

OK I have a good imagination.....lol

That's a joke. Wisconsin and Kansas have been better than UNC. Kansas doesn't have the RPI, but Wisconsin's is comparable. Conference standings are more or less a push (considering the ACC's strength) and non-conference losses are probably even too. I think looking at the stats they are about even (of course that means UNC goes by reputation).

Also, Ohio State probably isn't a 1 if they lose to Wisconsin. That would show that they are inferior to Wisconsin because this is the only game on a neutral court and the other games were split home and home. Then the losses to UNC and Florida must be considered.

The Valley has gotten a lot better, but it still isn't a power conference yet. The Salukis needed to win their conference Tournament for a legit shot at even a 3 I think. I wouldn't be shocked to see them get a 3, but I don't think it will happen. A 4 (or even a 5) is much more likely. Great season, but they'll probably get hurt by the conference affiliation.
