I have no opinion on this issue, just throwing out the discussion and the possibilities. The SEC has been a sleeping giant in the bubble discussions.

If one was to look at conference RPI there are two conferences that stand out as clearly superior from the rest of the country . NOT ONE!!!! NOT JUST THE ACC!!!

Those two conferences are the SEC and the ACC who are ranked very closely and well ahead of 3 and 4 ranked conference.

- Yet we are talking eight schools from the ACC and four from the SEC
- Teams that are 7-9 and 8-8 in the ACC are deemed as locks, while teams at 7-9 and 8-8 in the SEC are not even on the bubble.

Why?

I am telling you right now there is a strong potential for alot ACC fans who think there conference is clearly the best (will be angry when one or two SEC schools with a record of .500 or less take there spots of such teams such as Georgia Tech and FSU)

Right now Arkansas might be ahead of Georgia Tech in the committee's view.
Both teams are 8-9 in conference of similar strengths of schedule. OOC Arkansas performed slightly better then Georgia Tech by the numbers. Yet everyone is sleeping on Arkansas.

It's hard to pick out the good in some of these SEC schools... but if there are surprises this Sunday it will be from the SEC.

Just to be clear I don't think the SEC necessarily deserves more then 4, but I will not be shocked if they get one surprise at the expense of an ACC school.

I think the thing that separates the ACC and the SEC is that the SEC has so many middle of the road teams that are on the bubble looking out, while the ACC has a lot of slightly better than middle of the road teams that are on the bubble looking in.

A very nice win for Arkansas today, and they are right on the bubble. I still think Georgia Tech is in and Florida St. is out.

The SEC might be equal or near equal in terms of talent but there are less deserving teams in the SEC.

I don't think there will be any shot for Georgia Tech after this weekend.

I thought LSU had a legit shot at crashing the NCAAs. Just like I thought UCLA had a legit shot at crashing on Lavin's final season. Wrong on both I guess.

I bet my cousins in the Commonwealth are restless too.UK can't lose more than twice before people start talking about firing the coach and the AD
