That's true. This year I only have one #1 going to the Final Four, hope it works out better for me than last year.

There are dangerous mid-majors, and just because the quality wins don't support that they'll beat a high RPI team, doesn't mean it can't happen. A lot of those teams only get a couple real shots at quality opponents, and they lose by a few points. They hung around. Playing well isn't all about win column. If you don't believe that, fine, but you are totally wrong if you think the brackets will be easy this year since so many people are believe in the mid majors. Mid majors make noise every year. When did I ever say I pick all the top seeds? I haven't completely filled out a bracket yet, but I'm pretty sure it will include Florida, UCLA, Georgetown, and Texas A&M. That's going out on more of a limb than most people. I'm not saying there won't be some surprise teams in the Sweet 16, I'm just saying Winthrop won't be one of them. If they had a good draw, then I could see it. But they don't. Realistically, Notre Dame and (if they get there) Oregon was about the worst thing they could have imagined. I don't think GW is great, but they got a pretty weak 6 seed in Vanderbilt and a beatable 3 seed in Washington St., and Creighton got shafted as a 10...they could make some noise.
Winthrop has talent, sure. Did they play close to Wisconsin and UNC? Yup, but they did lose those games, and well, it's funny how people don't mention how they were handled by Maryland and A&M. Or how they played several close games in their conference, even at home, against the likes of Coastal Carolina and Radford, which are teams in the bottom 50 of D1. You think teams like Notre Dame or Oregon are going to get tested by those teams? Please...Falls and Carter have been waiting for this. Kurz and Harangody as well are going to be too much to stop. I already threw my whole bankroll on Notre Dame -4. They might stick with them for a while, but when it's all said and done, it's ND by double digits.

Re: Bracket Comments
This year I expect the chalk to get to the Final Four. Either all 4 1's, or 3's 1's (and Georgetown).

Re: Bracket Comments
Even Bill Self cant screw up Kansas' chance at making the final four... If they dont make it to the Elite Eight, KU fans should be calling for Self's head. I have them as a lock for Atlanta and winning it all in most of my brackets.

They're going to beat Notre Dame, a team that didn't lose at home all year, a team that won @ Maryland and @ Syracuse, and beat Louisville, Marquette, Villanova, etc.? Falls, Carter, and Kurz are going to let it rain in their face, and then even mix it up inside with Harangody once in awhile. I'd be shocked if Winthrop one this one.

Told ya.
There goes your bracket.
