Nice work though, JN...I can't disagree with anything else.

a) Fair point. I usually would never include someone below .500 half way through the conference season, especially from a non top 5 confernce.
But there 4-5 record is deceiving, and I expect them to go 9-7 or better.... first off 5 road games, 4 home games, against teams with an average RPI of 82. There next seven games, the average RPI is 122, and they have four games at home, and there away games are against crappy opposition.
I sort of broke no my projection rule, but in this case, I had to because they have:
3 top 50 wins
6-4 vs top 100
15 RPI
If they do what they are supposed to, and play decently they will get in.
b) As for Michigan St... never thought of it like you did, I just took them as the big ten leader.... I did rank them as the last #2 seed.
Why so much hihger then IU and Wisconsin? The committee usually values top 50 records alot.
MSU is 5-1 vs top 50
Wisconsin is 2-4
Indian is 1-3.
That's the main reason for the big separation in there rankings. Michigan St would have to win the Big Ten to sustain that seeding.
Perhaps they could have been a 3 seed, maybe below Stanford?
