When will one of you open your eyes? Was that Duke vs WVU a bad matchup? How about Villanova vs Clemson?
I have a feeling this trend continues with UND upsetting the Wazzu's. How much carnage must go on before a simple nod?
Is it even in doubt? Have a nice tournament and we'll be pretty strong next year as well. All these middle of the road teams in the Big East get more experience next year.
Yes my homerism is off the charts, well if Duke played in the Big East this year, they have 5-6 losses easily. Are you gonna argue that? Whats duke gonna do next year? Will they even have an athlete?
I'll do you all a favor, we'll just forget this discussion ever happened.
Cheers to a good finish to the tournament.

You can't base how good a conference is by just looking at the top teams. You have to look at the conference as a whole. Personally, I thought the Big 12 was the toughest conference this season, and you could certainly make a case that the Big East was better than the ACC. However, the Big East has way more cupcakes (DePaul, Cincy, Seton Hall, Providence, St. John's, South Florida, Rutgers) versus the Big 12 for example which only has a couple (Iowa St., Colorado).

i love when dumb people come in here and start asking sarcastic questions, even when you don't say anything about your team being better than their's. they turn it into "well... well... my daddy's stronger than your daddy" arguments.
go drink your fruit box and calm down.

Re: Talk about a West Coast Bias ???
Seton Hall, Cincinnati and Providence are not cupcakes. Those teams would have finished higher in other leagues no doubt about it. The problem with the Big East is someone HAS to finish in the 9-12 spots in the conference. They were still competitive teams. Providence wasn't a bad team, they just lost their point guard and could never get it going in Big East play.

Re: I know, I know... It's all about Matchups right?
While I definitely agree the Big12 has been great this year I can't exactly call providence and Seton Hall cupcakes. I thought the Big 12 was 1 or 2 all year. I also thought the Big East was the toughest on any given night. I completely agree we are weak at the bottom. However most fans and media didn't give any accolades to the Big East until the conference tournament was over.
Jay Bilas was the only media guy that gave respect from start to finish in the Big East. Some people said WVU and Nova probably shouldn't be in the tournament. I voiced my opinion that every night was a battle this year in The Big East. Some of you disagree but I watch an awful lot of basketball, so I think you are premature calling me an idiot.
I planned on 4 in the sweet sixteen and I planned on us going 2-2 today. I didn't think WVU had much of a chance. I don't think Marquete wins today either. I am not some guy with an inferiority complex either with regards to SU, I despise most SU fans with their complex.
I am not a moronic fan like many in the Big East. I am not a blind homer either. I felt the Big East was very very strong 1-10 all year. Don't forget about the unbalanced schedule when comparing the Big East and Pac10. I also am not going to disagree I was a little immature. Sorry about that.

Now that was a good post, IBOJ. Rep for you. I'll be rooting for the Big East in that Stanford game.

Providence may have been able to go 6-10 in the Big 12, but those other teams are 4-12 at best.
