Re: Selection Sunday - Bracketology

Looks like we are going to have at least one difference.... I have St. Mary's over Creighton.

I still have two spots (or potentially one spot) for Arizona, Maryland and Wisconsin. Not sure where I'm going with that one yet.

Duke and Clemson in the 2nd round? I thought they didn't have good teams from same conferences meeting early.

Re: Selection Sunday - Bracketology

Top three teams from each conference must be in a different region

arizona St and UCLA can't be in same region.
Purdue and Illinois can't be in same region.
Dayton and Temple
Creighton and Northern Iowa
Duke and Wake Forest
Utah and San Diego St

Regional Rule will still be applied, they won't use the out unless they absolutely need to, and they won't. You broke that rule 5 or 6 times... putting together the bracket is like a puzzle.

They will have time to do it this year, because they will just interchange Purdue/Ohio St on differnet lines.

Then again predicting seeds, and the bubble, is the most important thing througout the process.

Yeah, that one could go either way. I decided to go with Creighton since they have the better RPI and better vs. top 50 record.

Argh...making sure teams from the same conference aren't meeting before the regional final is difficult enough!

I expect Butler, Siena and Utah State to be in the 8/9 games although I hope they get in the 7/10 ranges.

Re: Selection Sunday - Bracketology

So Duke and Clemson (depending on the Tiger's seed) could still be in the same region, just not meet so early? Of course, that would mean Clemson wouldn't be a 7 seed for that to happen. They'd have to be like a 8 or 6?

No they would have to be a 5 or 8. I also think an 8 seed is a real possibility due to their 7-8 slump to the finish line.

Re: Selection Sunday - Bracketology

i sure hope they don't meet again. i hate the individual matchups.

If Duke keeps this up, no chance whatsoever of the last #1 seed, fellas???

Re: Selection Sunday - Bracketology

I honestly think they are a #2 in Louisville or Pitt's region.

Do you really think it matters whether Duke beats FSU by 8, 13 or 18 ? They were in complete control after the four threes in a row in the second half.
