I'm going with Wisconsin, although they'll likely be favored to win that game so it's really not that much of an upset. Would lean towards Arizona next. Can't picture Western Kentucky or Northern Iowa winning.

I chose both Wisconsin and Arizona 2 of the few upsets we'll see this year

I just don't think Wisconsin is very good. This is probably the worst Badger team of the Bo Ryan era. Florida State only really has Toney Douglas, but they should still beat this team. I don't see any 12/5 upsets this year to be honest. Especially when I see a teams like Florida State/Wisconsin playing and Utah/Arizona. I mean if both those teams played during the regular season on a neutral court, those would be pick-em games right?

I would say that if a team is ranked higher and is playing at home or neutral site and the other team wins thats an upset even if the teams are pretty evenly matched
I understand what you mean though if 2 teams are evenly matched its tough to say either one winning is really a surprise/upset...

Totally true. TOTALLY true. I'm forced to believe in the Badgers, but I don't know why you non-alums like us.

I don't like to get too high on teams just off Championship week... Florida State played pretty well and they know how to play D well but I think Wisconsin is still the better team

Like you, I was thinking that Florida State was a first weekend and out team, but then I thought they were going to be pitted against a team like Northern Iowa that spreads you out and can get hot from the perimeter. I didn't expect them to get a team that likes to slug it out. That's the way FSU plays. FSU scores a lot, because they play in the ACC and almost all the teams push the tempo. However, Leonard Hamilton prefers to grind out games.
I think 4/13 and 5/12 pods with the exception of Gonzaga and Washington are up for grabs.

I guess it depends on your definition of very good. Very good we're probably not. Good we are.
Here's two things that are important to consider:
Out of all the 5 seeds, Florida St. is probably the worst.
Out of all the 12 seeds, Wisconsin is probably the best.
Yes, this isn't the greatest team Ryan's ever had, but they've quietly been arguably the best offensive team he's had there. Leuer and Hughes have been solid while Landry has quietly been very good. Bohannon is a solid 3 point shooter and Krabbenhoft is effective when they can get him the ball.
These teams only have one similar opponent: FSU lost by 14 @ Northwestern while Wisconsin beat them by 29 and lost by 3. Someone mentioned that Alabi and Singleton would be too much to handle. Are you kidding me? Singleton is not that involved, and when he is, he shoots less than 47% from 2 point range (that's really bad for a 6-9 guy) and less than 30% from 3, and he shoots a few a game. Alabi has great size so his defense down low will be good, but offensively he's pretty bad for someone that big.
Surprisingly, Florida St. opened as a 3 point favorite. I don't plan on betting a ton of games, but taking Wisconsin on the ML will be one of them.
