the win vs. Nova do anything? They have Rutgers away and West Virginia at home. If they can string together a few wins then win a coupe in the Big East tourney....
After looking at their schedule, if they can win their home games against Louisville and West Virginia, they have three games against teams under .500 in the conference. Somehow UConn can still get to 10-8 in the conference, which is truly incredible.

From Real Time RPI here is the upcoming schedule....

02-22 West Virginia 19-5 (8-4) 5 67-72 L - Scouting
02-28 Louisville 16-9 (7-5) 32 73-74 L - Scouting
03-03 at Notre Dame 17-9 (6-7) 79 71-79 L - Scouting
03-06 at South Florida 15-9 (5-7) 56 68-71 L - Scouting
Im not sold on their prediction model. I still think the likely scenario is 8-10.... 9-9 is not an impossibility. The USF game could be both teams going for a ninth or even a tenth win. That is shaping up to be a big game.
The Big East is a mess to predict from game to game.. although the tourney picture may be getting a little clearer with Louisville and Marquette hitting 10 wins. I did not expect Louisville to pull this one out, and I predicted they were going to blow it.
The biggest thing the Big East teams have going for it is road wins... its seems like home court is not that important the last month or so... which is clearly not the case in the other conferences.
If Uconn doesn't win these next two games against South Florida and Notre Dame on the road they are NIT bound. However, I truly believe they are capable of winning the Big East tournament.

I figure they're talented enough to win the Big East tournament, but they're not streaky-hot enough to win 5 games. Someone said today that if they win the first two games that they'll get bubble talk again, but it'll be a long, long shot
Team is just way too streaky to win the Big East tournament. The longest winning streak they have had all season has been 4 games, I'm not buying them doing enough to go dancing. Have fun in the NIT Huskies.
