What is the expectation for the Nets next year?
A core of Williams/Johnson/Wallace/Lopez immediately puts y'all in the thick of things in the east outside of Miami. I think that 48-52 wins seems reasonable, and I feel fairly confident that they will advance at least one round in the playoffs.
Hopefully people remember how good Deron Williams is.

The 2nd round playoffs and to beat the Knicks.
they are not winning a championship so that's what they are playing for. Joe Johnson gets paid more than lebron.

Eastern Conference finals or bust, in my mind at least. If they lose to anyone in the East that isn't Miami, I would consider that a disappointment for them. I do admit that I'm higher on this roster (and this coach) than most.

Re: What is the expectation for the Nets next year?
The Atlantic's stacked now that Philly turned one of their 28 small forwards into Bynum, so I wouldn't be so quick to assume that they're getting out of the first round of the playoffs. Miami's a lock for the playoffs, and then there's a huge grouping of Boston, New York, Brooklyn, Philly, Indiana, and Chicago that could finish in any order. Considering that the Atlantic teams are going to beat up on each other all year, I wouldn't be surprised to see lower-than-expected win totals for all four teams and unfavorable seedings because of it.
