The Sioux Falls Skyforce have already punched their 2006 playoff ticket.
And with the success they have displayed at home, hosting a first-round playoff game may prove devastating to whichever teams they draw in that opening round.
The Skyforce (29-16) won it's 10th consecutive game on Saturday night with a 114-87 thrashing of the Michigan Mayhem, a seventh straight win at the Arena.
Overall, Sioux Falls improved to a CBA-best 20-3 at home.
"The end is in sight and we want to finish out great at home," said Skyforce Dave Joerger whose team dominated the boards with a 53-30 advantage. "They (Michigan) played harder than we did, but I was proud of the minutes we logged. We remained focused and really stuck together."
To the delight of the 5,503 fans, the second highest attendance of the season, the Skyforce led by double digits most of the game and the outcome was never really in jeopardy. Sioux Falls took 6.5 quarter points.
Jermaine Walker led the way for Sioux Falls with a team-high 27 points, while Mark Sanford finished with 23 points of which 21 came in the first two quarters.
