When the Magic first drafter Howard, I smiled in glee because I figured the Bobcats were getting the better player. But the more I think about it the more scared I am about his back. It hampered him alot at times last year, and the more rigerous NBA schedule isn't going to help things.

Just a side note, the Sunshine Network ran a special getting inside the Orlando Magic operations before and after the draft this year. They showed some clips from Okafor's workout with Orlando. All i've got to say, and everyone probably already knows this, but the guy is a beast. Huge. Just huge.

I'm happy Orlando selected Howard, but I don't think I would have been un-happy with Okie either.

Huh? How? Orlando management and coaches decided unanimously to select Howard. Don't think Bernie had anything to do with it.

Well lets say Bernie rings up and goes, pick Howard or I am going to take Gaines in the expansion draft and the TMac trade falls through

T-Mac would have had plenty of other suitors. Orlando wouldn't have had any problem moving him. However, to let Bernie Bickerstaff dictate who you take for your team, is absolutely ridiculous. Orlando wanted Howard and that is who they got. 'Nuf said.
