Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace was elbowed in the face during practice Thursday and removed from the court on a stretcher.
He was awake and moving his arms and legs as he was strapped onto a board and loaded into an ambulance and taken to a hospital. The team did not immediately update his condition.
Wallace was tended to on the court for nearly 30 minutes. He had been guarding Tamar Slay during a scrimmage when he was injured.
"I was making a move and Gerald ran into my elbow," Slay said. "He was going one way and I was going the other. We just connected, collided."
