The Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday waived forward/center Jamal Sampson, giving up on a player they had high hopes for when they selected him in the NBA expansion draft.

Bad move, most average to good teams don't let 7 footers go, let alone expansion teams. He's tall and had an okay career in college, so giving up on him after one year is just really stupid.
