Now Gerald Wallace, one of their improving young players who was recently named a co-captain, will be sidelined for two weeks with a rib injury.
"We can't catch a break, but we keep plugging away," Bobcats coach Bernie Bickerstaff says.
Charlotte will likely pass the fewest wins by an expansion team (15), a record held by several franchises, most recently the 1995-96 Vancouver Grizzlies. But the Bobcats are unlikely to match the most wins by an expansion squad (29), set by the 1970-71 Portland Trail Blazers.
The Bobcats will place Wallace, 22, on the injured list Friday. Wallace's injury occurred when he was playing the most consistent ball of his four-year career. He averaged 13.2 points in his last 10 games and the Bobcats' third-leading scorer (11.1 points).

What's up with injuries lately, first the Mavs and now the Bobcats (Brevin, Rush, Wallace, probably more). Ah well, should give Bernie a chance to see possible players at SF which haven't been receiving time
