Charlotte couldn't get into the win column once again last night, as it fell 119-110 to the red hot Boston Celtics at Charlotte Coliseum.
Matt Carroll had a career-high 18 points for the Bobcats, who have dropped seven in a row. Carroll's previous career-high in points was 12, set Saturday versus the Lakers. This was his fourth game with the club.
Jason Kapono added 17 points for Charlotte, which has dropped 10 of 11 and 18 of its last 21. Emeka Okafor, fresh off his franchise-record 30-point performance on Saturday in a one-point loss to the Lakers, had 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Bobcats.
Brevin Knight and Keith Bogans also had 16 points apiece for Charlotte, which overcame a 13-point first quarter deficit only to fall short in the end. Primoz Brezec had 11 points for the Bobcats, who have dropped 13 of 16 at home. Charlotte is 0-6 in Monday games this season.
Charlotte head coach Bernie Bickerstaff picked up a double technical during the contest and was ejected as a result.
The Bobcats shot a solid 45 percent in the contest, but allowed Boston to nail 58 percent of its attempts. Charlotte also drained 7-of-16 (.438) from three- point range and 23-of-27 (.852) from the charity stripe.
Charlotte's schedule gets no easier for the rest of the week, as it hits the road for three against Denver (Wednesday), San Antonio (Friday) and Dallas (Saturday). The Bobcats are just 2-28 on the road this season.
Charlotte is among the NBA's worst in points per game (93.2, 24th), point differential (-6.6, 28th), field goal percentage (.428, 27th), opponents' field goal percentage (.463, 26th) and free throw percentage (.689, 28th).
