Draft Central

Welcome to Draft Central for the Charlotte Bobcats, on the Fan Site, Bobcats World, hosted by the SportsFaceoff Network. The 2005 Expansion Team finished their inaugural season, with the 2nd worst record tied with former Charlatans, the Hornets of New Orleans, 18-64 (.220). The Charlotte Bobcats surprised the world, with competiting and playing hard in every game, no matter the score, and that attitude, has now given the Bobcats respect around the NBA. The team that finished last in the NBA Standings were the Atlanta Hawks, who ended the season, with a very poor 13-69 (.159). This dismal record gives the Hawks of the South East Division, the most chances out of the league to get the 1st Pick of the 2005 Draft.

23 April 2005

The Charlotte Bobcats have lost the tie breaker, against the New Orleans Hornets, for the extra chance in the 2005 Draft Lottery. The loss gives the Bobcats a 177/1000 chance with their first Lottery selection, while the Hornets receive a vital 178/1000. However, even though the Bobcats lost the tie breaker, the franchise still has the 2nd most chances in the Draft Lottery, due to their deal with the Cavaliers, which has given them another Lottery Pick, as Cleveland took off the Lottery Restrictions earlier in the season. That deal now gives the Charlotte Bobcats, a total of 183/1000 chances in the Draft Lottery. The following is all the 14 teams, who will take part in the 2005 Draft Lottery.

Re: Draft Central

If the Bobcats hit jack pot and got 2 top 3 picks I would laugh

Re: Draft Central

I love the author. What a spin job.

Charlotte "shocked the world, and competed hard every night" while Atlanta is "dismal."

Newsflash: There's only a 5 win difference. Both teams sucked terribly.

Re: Draft Central

The Bobcats are trying to build a fan base so it's important to sound "good" when talking about the team. Both teams have a lot of young talent and very good coaches. I wish the best of luck.
