I personally think this trade is about a wash,but I don't see how Baxter fits in with this team's needs better than Bogans does.If everyone ever got healthy (don't laugh it could happen) then there would be far less need for Baxter than there would be Bogans.
There are actually a good many minutes available at SG for Bogans now,but if you have Melvin Ely,SeanMay, Okafor, Brezec and Gerald Wallace all dressed out and actually ready to play what real use will you have for Baxter.He can't play on the wing and Charlotte has no need for him on the interior IMO.It makes me think that another move may be coming up,possibly for Melvin Ely.
At one time I thought it might be better to move Ely if the price was good enough,but the more I think about it the better he looks even if you have to pay him the going rate for a good PF/C next season.He's still pretty young and he's been very productive for this team,but he's certainly got a lot of value to a great many teams like the Nets for example.I really think that he is still getting better though and I don't think he should be traded unless you really get a premium.
