May to the Nets...?

Quote:
The New Jersey Nets are trying to pry Sean May away from the Charlotte Bobcats using the #17 pick combined with Bostjan Nachbar

I don't know how acurate this could be but if this is true get all over this

Re: May to the Nets...?

I find that rumor really questionable. If May was healthy we'd never do it,but since he isn't I can't see the Nets doing it.It would be a huge gamble for them, but it might be worth the risk for them considering how badly they help on the frontline. Our FO is probably more than willing to give up May for that deal.I think I would also.Boki Nachbar is a lights out shooter and a pretty decent athlete too,but he can't defend to save his life. He's not nearly as good as a healthy sean may,but he's a whole lot better than a Sean May who's missing more than half the games in his two seasons.

I sort of wonder if Nachbar has the handles to play the two for any length of time.I'm not really sure.I think he could play the two a little.

Re: May to the Nets...?

Yeah, I don't think it's true and even if it was would May even pass a physical from the Nets? I really don't know if he would, he's been rehabing that knee since before his rookie year and it's still not healed. The body can't make new cartiledge though so if that rumor is true then I guess he's already done

The Bobcats turned down an offer from the New Jersey Nets that would have exchanged Sean May for New Jersey's 17th overall pick in Thursday's draft, two league sources confirmed.

If the Nets hold on to the pick, there is a good chance they will draft former Boston College center Sean Williams. The Nets are desperate for help inside.

Re: May to the Nets...?

I would hope that this means the team thinks that May is going to be healthy at some point.I'm afraid it means we know May wouldn't pass the physical right now.If only we could keep May healthy and in reasonable conditioning he'd be a very, very useful player. He hasn't even played a full season yet and some of that he was hobbling.

I was thinking earlier that he must have four or five 30 point games, mostly from matching up with guys who don't want to leave the paint to guard his midrange jumper. If we could count on him our frontline would be okay right now.Since we can't we have to look for another big.
