Small Ball?

Hell, we didn't really improve the PF position at all unless this Davidson guy can be a starter at the 4. Gerald has proven he can be a PF at times but he says he doesn't like it and Fabio is a tweener as well. I don't know maybe we go out and sign a PF but our cap space is gone now so I doubt it.

Felton/BK
J-Rich/Carroll
Gerald/Morrison/Dudley
Fabio/May/Davidson/Othella
Emeka/Brezec/Voskuhl/Hollins

Damn we got a SG but we didn't really get any better that front line is just going to be too small. Ah, atleast we'll be fun to watch and we should make the playoffs

Re: Small Ball?

The thought of using the 22nd pick of the draft on a third string SF really picks up my spirits Nutmegd...Almost as thinking he might be our second string SF instead of Mr Morrison

Re: Small Ball?

Seriously what the **** was the point of drafting another SF. If were not playing small ball were talking about Dudley being our 4th SF. I mean maybe he's the BPA but we needed big men. Okafor gets hurt at all this year and our playoff hopes go down the drain

Not watching the draft kind of killed me....I'm still in shock from all the bad information that hit me quickly

Re: Small Ball?

Dudley's a tweener. He'll play the 3 if we need extra work on the boards or 4 or if we need more scoring. Jordan actually mentioned him as backing up May after the draft. I think he'll be our version of Battier, only with less burn. He'll play with fire and skill, just not a ton of athleticism.

I get the feeling that Morrison's days are numbered. If he's not traded this summer, my guess is he'll be given another year to develop and then he'll be shipped out. I love the fact that now he doesn't have the pressure each time he goes out on the court to light it up or sit. Now when he enters game situations, he'll be looked to maintain the score while Wallace or JRich sit. If he starts to get hot, that's butter. If he doesn't, it's still all good. Plus JRich can teach him how to get open more in the NBA. Morrison spent too much time chilling at the corner of the bonus stripe waiting for someone to give up the rock, ala every play at Gonzaga. He needs to work off screens a lot more to be an elite NBA scorer.
