Hi, I am a new poster. I live in Charlotte and let me tell you, even though the J-Rich trade may not be what some people wanted, it was a really good trade in that it has rejuvenated some interest in the franchise. Most of my friends are pretty casual fans (might go to a couple games a year), but yeah they are all now PUMPED to watch the new bobcats. I say good move by Jordan, he is bringing a lot more excitement to the casual fans in Charlotte. Of course, this interest won't last long if the team sucks so...

that being said, what do you expect out of the Charlotte Bobcats this season? I'm thinking with no major injuries they are a real contender in the east..definitely playoffs

If we don't make the playoffs then this season isn't much of a success. To add on J-Rich's contract and not make it would just be a waste. I do think we will make it though as long as we avoid injuries, which is going to be hard enough. Raymond-J-Rich-Gerald-Fabio-Emeka will be fun as hell to watch so I can't wait for the season to start.

If we play the way we can and get some help I think we could have a chance to play into to the 2nd round I just think were too young to be considered real contenders and we just don't have any depth at point or center.

Quite Frankly

They will make playoffs, probably anywhere from a 6-8 seed, and probably will get eliminated in the 2nd round, if not the 1st.

Assuming the players can stay relatively healthy, I think they'll make the playoffs as a 7 or 8 seed. A few of the teams in the bottom of the East also improved though, so it may be a battle. Too early to be real contenders, but they have the talent now to talk postseason. Adding J-Rich might look like a bad move for the future, but it'll seem like a great move if the Bobcats make the playoffs. They should be fun to watch, I'll be rooting for them.
