Wallace suffers concussion, taken off court on stretcher after taking elbow

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Bobcats scoring leader Gerald Wallace was taken off the floor on a stretcher during Friday's game against Sacramento after being hit in the face with an inadvertent elbow.
A team official said Wallace suffered a concussion and was taken to a hospital for further evaluation.
Wallace was double-teaming Kings forward Mikki Moore in the post early in the third quarter and was called for a foul a moment before Moore swung around with the ball. Moore's right elbow hit Wallace directly in the nose.
Wallace crumpled backward to the floor, before turning onto his stomach. He remained there for almost 10 minutes while the training staff and team doctor attended to him. Wallace was eventually strapped to a stretcher with a neck brace and wheeled off the floor to an ambulance in the loading dock area of the arena.

Was I the only one that thought that didn't look bad enough to be taken out on a stretcher?

Thats a real shame that Wallace got hurt like that. He shouldn't be out for to many games though right? I heard 2 at the most.

That's one tuff dude. But he's gotta be more careful, its like he's in the NFL all those concussions he gets.

i think he just got knocked out.

the stretcher is a precaution.

i heard grade 3 concussion, then slight concussion then amnesia and being released from hospital lastnight... i hope it doesn't effect how he plays, the man is a beast.

all in a days work gettin into ya opponent like Crash, bound to happen.

He's out at least 2 weeks.
