CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 29 (AP) -- The Charlotte Bobcats waived guard Jeff McInnis on Friday.
The team provided no explanation for the decision. McInnis started 26 of the 54 games he played this season, averaging 4.5 points and 4.1 assists.
McInnis was criticized by coach Sam Vincent after a loss to Philadelphia a month ago, leading to a testy exchange between the two. A few days later the Bobcats signed point guard Earl Boykins, but McInnis had still been an on-and-off starter. The Bobcats have struggled in Vincent's first season as an NBA head coach. Charlotte had lost 11 of 12 games heading into Friday's game at Boston.
Well, One of the MAIN problems of this team is gone, THANK GOD...but now the second one needs to be gone as well, Sam Vincent has to go, he's just not ready to lead a basketball team, because the Cats were close to having a winning season, if they made the right trades. So I'm not sure, maybe Jordan has to go as well?
It seems to me that Emeka Okafor is starting to figure out his own way to score. Now we just need Raymond Felton to figure out how to be consistent then that problem is solved. Finally just another big man that can score like...Al Jefferson for example, or Hedo Turkoglu
