Thumbs up Draft possibilites

Chances are you'll land in the 6-8 range.

Draft Express has you guys selecting Galinari, but at this point it's more of a player ranking then analysis of team need.

Jordan or Hibbert would be a great pick. To be able to move Okafor to the 4 and Wallace to the 3..that's a stalwart frontcourt.

Re: Draft possibilites

They better go for frontcourt help. Hibbert or Lopez could give immediate impact, while a player like Jordan is one that will take a while to develop. I'd like to see them draft Hibbert personally.

Cats are still shooting for a playoff spot, but chances are they probably won't make it.

Re: Draft possibilites

We need an NBA player.I'm not sold on Hibbert. He looks like he could easily be a bust IMO.I don't think he'll ever be a good offensive player.Whoever the best player is we should take him and stop taking guys who can't cut it in the NBA.

Re: Draft possibilites

I felt the same way, but I've watched him more and he's showed me he's a very talented player.

He's not just a big oaf, he's as coordinated as a player his size can be. He uses his body well as far as getting positioning on offense and defense, and he has a variety of ways to score in the post, he can get points from either side of the block from either shoulder.

He's a good passer relative to most centers, and he has a nice form that could develop into a strong midrange shot if worked on enough. HKF was hyping him and I didn't agree with him at all, but if you watch him enough you'll come around. He won't be a star by any means but in his prime he could end up being another Illguaskus.

Re: Draft possibilites

Too High of a pick to select Hibbert, if we are 6-8 we need to be looking at Thabeet, Jordan, or Lopez. I'm sure we can get one of those. If the front office guys want Hibbert then they need to trade down to the mid to late 1st round range.

Re: Draft possibilites

hibbert is the only pick if you are going for a center. jordan is garbage(for at least the next 3 years) and lopez will always be garbage on an nba level. hibbert is a legit starting center and 6-8 isn't too high to pick him if a good sg isn't available. don't even mention thabeet. all he can do is block shots.

Re: Draft possibilites

Jordan is too much of a project (doesn't fit the cats), Lopez I'm not too sure on at the nba-level (doesn't fit the cats), and Thabeet is simply a defensive big (doesn't fit the cats). Hibbert would have to be the pick if you're drafting a big. I don't like Hibbert and whenever I wathc him he does seem like a big oaf to me, but he is getting underrated because he stayed another season (so everyones taking his skills for granted and looking for athleticism and flash that isn't there).

I'd draft the best player available though. And think hard about this pick..
