Would Bobcats do this?

Bobcats get -

Future first round pick
Future second round pick
3 million in cash
Swap 1st pick for 4th pick

Bobcats take Grant Hill in the expansion draft and then cut him.

This is assuming Orlando gets the first pick.

I assume Bobcats would only do this if they valued Howard or Emeka more highly than say, Josh Smith or Pavel.

Bobcats would take a big financial hit being responsible for some 10/11 million for Hill's contract, but they should make plenty of money their first season with their low payroll.

I can see the positives and negatives, i mean you take on Hill's contract which is pretty good chunk of change, but you go after Howard who has potential to become a Tim Duncan caliber player or Okafor who is a shot-blocking machine. On the other hand, the Bobcats were taking hints as to they wanted a guard in this years draft, whether it was because of their position in the draft, knowing that the best big men were being picked ahead of them. I say it depends, right now, im really like the idea of Shaun Livingston going to Charlotte.

I figured it would only work if they were really interested in Howard or Okafor. I dont see them drafting Okafor since his potential probably isnt as high, but Howard would seem like a good option.

It would be an Orlando fan's dream to get Hill's contract off the books. Orlando could do a lot with that 14 million.

It would be incredibly fun to be in Charlotte's position. Having teams, probably just about all of them, throwing money and draft picks at you for basically nothing. They could potentially be absolutely loaded with draft picks for the next 4-5 yrs.
