Re: What positions/players should we draft?
Deng is greedy?
Really?
The guy that Paxsona nd the franchise said was "UNTOUCHABLE" didn't want to sign for what a 6th man and a average point on the team were getting?
He didn't want to sign for a lot less than players of less talent and accomplishment were signing for and that's greedy?
That's the NBA. If you don't like Deng, there is no player int he league you can like. He's vanilla. Add anything to him and he's special. He's very good at everything (hard working, ambassador, likeable, outgoing, puts up numbers thte old-fashioned way), outstanding at nothing.
Selfish..No. Made a bad BUSINESS decision, probably.
Ben Gordon - is Selfish
Benedict Wallace - Extremely selfish
Kirk Hinrich - Selfish and overrated
Tyrus Thomas - He just has no basketball brain
Chris Dunothing - From Jib to Lib in seconds flat.
Deng - sorry, he's not the problem. The roster make up, the coaching, the organization, ....they are more to blame than anything Deng did or didn't do.

Re: What positions/players should we draft?
I believe the Paxson needs to do whatever it takes to get either a true number one option who will command a double team or a top 5 in the NBA point guard, who can pass or shoot. We probably have the best role players in the NBA. We have shooters, rebounders etc...but we don't have any great players. The Bulls are a great player away from being a major player in the NBA.
There are a couple of players in the draft who may qualify as being potentially great players (Rose, Beasley, maybe OJ Mayo). Either the Bulls trade assets for one of these type of players or they need to trade to get a veteran who is a superstar.
As the Bulls team stands now they Bulls don't need any other players in the this draft. They won't play and don't really make the us better in the short term. The Bulls team is built for a run now.

I totally agree with everything in the first paragraph, well put.
As per the 1st bolded part, my concern is that in making a deal like that we'll end up getting rid of all of those great role players and just be stuck in mediocrity... in that respect, getting lucky in the draft and finding a franchise guy is ideal... and might make it worth taking a chance on someone from this class.
Second bolded part, I don't know that the Bulls are built for a run now... they are, after all, the youngest team in the entire league.

Yeah he's greedy for holding out and not signing a contract he was offered that was too big anyway. Everything you listed that he's "very good" at has nothing to do with basketball. He sucks at handling the ball. Sucks at finishing. The only thing he's above average in is his outside jump shot. Yeah he's a nice guy that supposedly works hard, and he's an "abmassador" for whatever that's good for. I don't dislike him, but I think he's a very mediocre player (as is everyone on the Bulls this year...but I thought he was vastly over-rated last year too) and if he's too stupid to sign for what he's worth, ship him out.

IDK, I haven't heard I guess. He was in the top 10 in the mock drafts I saw a while back, but now he's gone so maybe. Same with Griffin. We won't know for sure till it's time for them to declare for the draft I guess.

In theory, that's all fine and dandy, but actually being able to get a star player is obviously easier said than done. Also, like Dornado said, we'd be a bunch of scrubs with a star if we had to trade away all the good role players in order to acquire the star, thus stuck in mediocrity anyway.
