Re: ESPN 1000: Bulls and Heat in Deep Trade Talks

If we get Wade (or heck, even the #2 pick) without giving up the #1 pick, Paxson should be arrested for ROBBERY.

I think I would fall over my chair and just lay there daydreaming for the next 48 hours. Call me a skeptic for the time being.

I mean, yeah we're looking for a consolidation trade but this is too good to be true. It's like, "Hey Riley, you wanna take Nocioni while you're at it? Yeah? Done!"

Scenario 1

Rose/Wade/Deng/Gooden/Noah

Scenario 2

Rose/Thabo/Deng/Beasley/Noah

Actually I think my first reaction would be, Riley has gone senile and should register at an old folks' home. Netting anything as good as Wade or Beasley for Hinrich/Tyrus/Nocioni/future picks is friggin unbelievable. Enough from me on that.

Re: ESPN 1000: Bulls and Heat in Deep Trade Talks

I'd venture to say Scenario 1:

Gordon/Wade/Deng/Beasley/Diop (with Hinrich off the bench)

Scenario 2:

Rose/Gordon/Deng/Beasley/Diop

KC said Pax plans on using his MLE, so Diop is in play imo.

If we made the trade Hinrich would definitely be in it. Riley is very high on Hinrich. Also I'd rather go with a scenario 3. If we got Wade, still dont take Beasley, take Rose. Trade Gordon and whatever we have left for a good PF.

If we get Wade, Beasley will make more sense. Although, Rose and Wade could work as well.

BG7 do you have the link to the message board that says the Wade rumor was on a NY radio station too?

Riley is high on Hinrich to play next to Wade. In scenario 2, he would probably be in the trade.

But scneario 1? Miami would be going into rebuilding if they trade Wade. Hinrich's big contract wouldn't fit into Miami's rebuilding plan.

No way we draft Rose with Hinrich/Gordon/Wade in the backcourt imo.

Yeah, but it isn't much there.

http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtop...?f=10&t=818355

May have been the same report as the Chicago ESPN Radio.

Chad Ford: (1:04 PM ET ) I don't think the Bulls are getting Dwyane Wade, though it certainly is a rumor that has been making the rounds among NBA GMs. They'd have to give up No. 1, Tyrus Thomas, Drew Gooden's expiring contract and filler to get him. I'd do it if I were the Bulls. But I think the Heat aren't that crazy.
Well I didnt think we would get wade without the pick.

Re: ESPN 1000: Bulls and Heat in Deep Trade Talks

I think it has credence...I don't think Riley likes Wade's reckless style of play. He's probably trying to rebuild to set the Heat up nice into his retirement.

I think this all goes back to Fred Mitchell's column from a few weeks ago.

So he does confirm that some GM's have thrown this out there but he personally doesnt think it will get done. I would think the only way it would happen would be Thomas, Hinrich, Thabo, Gooden, and a future pick or something plus maybe taking a player or 2 back from the Heat. Seems like a longshot to me..

I love how he totally values Wade like the guy has never been injured a day in his life.

I would be pretty upset if we gave up all that to get Wade.

Re: ESPN 1000: Bulls and Heat in Deep Trade Talks

If John Paxson was a girl, he'd be a cocktease.

(Is this inappropriate? If it is, leave it up for a few minutes so I can get a laugh or two and then take it down and issue me a strong warning).

Garnett? Perhaps, but no.
Gasol? Perhaps, but no.
Kobe? Perhaps, but no.
Wade? I'm going to go out on a limb and say, perhaps, but no.

I wonder just what Wade told Riley to make him even consider doing this. Something like, I'm leaving for the Chi in 2010, and you won't get jack for me. Just trade me now.
