Scoring Post Player or Big SG - Bigger Need?
Would you rather trade a combo of Gordon, Hinrich, Nocioni, Hughes for a big SG to pair next to Rose and bank on Thomas and Noah will be able to provide enough scoring from the big men?
Or would you rather trade for a scoring big man? Take your chances with Thabo or Hughes as your big SG which could be a big question mark in the offense. Or take your chances with Gordon at SG but have to deal with his defensive liabilities and have Rose guard the big SG's.

Shooting guard is our strongest position right now, followed by small forward or point guard...so yeah, I would definitely say we need a scoring post man (or defensive anchor big man...Okafor) more so than another guard.

Yeah i agree.since we lost Eddy's 16/5 we just haven't had anyone down low to put the ball in the hole.i think we need to find a Young 6'10 250 15/10 type bigman on a CHEAP 6-7mil Contract.but where???

Sounds almost exactly like Drew Gooden.
27 years old
6'10"
250 lbs
14.0 ppg, 9.3 rpg (with the Bulls)
Making $7.1 million for the 08-09 season.

Re: Scoring Post Player or Big SG - Bigger Need?
I think Knicks would trade Curry for Hinrich if we offered it. Hinrich for Curry and Rose works I believe after July 1st.
PG-Derrick Rose/
SG-Ben Gordon/Thabo Sefolosha
SF-Luol Deng/Andres Nocioni
PF-Tyrus Thomas/Drew Gooden
C- Eddy Current/Joakim Noah
We'd just need to find a backup point guard since we aren't bringing Du back.

Re: Scoring Post Player or Big SG - Bigger Need?
The 2 question marks going forward on our team are both SG and C. As far as I personally am concerned, the PG and PF are locked up for the next decade in Rose and Tyrus. SF, maybe with Deng, but I'd still like to get Joe Alexander or Josh Smith there instead. SG has a good defender and transition player in Thabo, and Hinrich could play it well too next to Rose, so I could see that being ok. C is subpar with Noah, as he is a nutjob and horrendous on O. Since I see Noah as the weak link, assuming Ben isn't our starting SG, I'd like to go for a real center.
So, the guys I see as expendable and/or want to see shipped out are definitely Gordon, Nocioni, Gooden, Noah (if traded for a better C), Hughes and Gray. I'd look to keep Hinrich, Rose of course, Tyrus, Thabs, and maybe Deng (though I'd like to see him traded for a better athlete like the 2 I mentioned earlier). I bet Skiles would gladly take him in Milwaukee, so get it done Pax. Deng for Alexander + next year's 1st lol.

That is just wrong. Curry was always fat and lazy, and isn't worth crap now. He couldn't even hold Hinrich's jock at this point, so trading Hinrich for that fat, lazy POS is just dumb.

dumb quote of the week winner......i suppose you think their 35+ ppg is just walking around waiting to be swooped up, huh?
maybe when you get your nba franchise, you can pick up curry on the cheap. he'll be out of the league in another burger or two. the bulls most definitely won't. i'm no fan of drew gooden's game but i'll take him any and every day over curry; you can stick a fork-, well maybe not, he might burst.

Re: Scoring Post Player or Big SG - Bigger Need?
Scoring post player, and I think it's quite easily that.
Rose/ Gordon
Hinrich / Gordon /
Deng /
Tyrus / X
Noah / Gooden / Gray
Trade Hughes, Noc and Thabo, for the best scoring post player, backup SF, and 3rd string guard.
Total salaries: $22,758,836

Re: Scoring Post Player or Big SG - Bigger Need?
Gordon isn't coming back to come off the bench, so whether the Rose/Gordon/Hinrich backcourt ever gets a chance is if Kirk is willing to be a 6th man, which is probably his best role, while Ben would thrive as a starter next to Rose.
