I like the idea for the Clippers.

Brand/ Thomas
Thorton
Kaman
Mobley/ Gordon
Davis/ Knight

2 Allstar caliber vets and 3 good young guys to build around. Regardless of the depth it would be the best Clipper team since before I was born. Brand and Kaman is just a physically abusive combo. BDiddy has never played with this much talent. If this all goes down, they are better than us next year. No doubt.

I guess I can scrap the pipe dream of trading Gooden to Memphis or Seattle for cap and signing both Brand and Deng, letting BG walk.

Hustle, it may not be a pipe dream.

If the network report are accurate on BD's contract being 5 years $65M, the clips would need to:

* Renounce Maggette

&

* Resign Elton for a significant paycut from his old contract

Just to avoid Luxury Tax Land. Donald Sterling is pretty unlikely to change his spots and Elton could become real pissed off / real quick. This could get interesting.
