Re: Bulls Looking at Kenyon Martin?
Kenyon played pretty well last year, at least when you consider that he's going to be making the minimum or something in that area. His free throw shooting was horrible, but he played well on defense.

Re: Bulls Looking at Kenyon Martin?
I'm assuming he is the backup plan to us trading Rip and not signing McGrady. We still have about $1.9M to spend of the MLE and I bet it is a one year deal for either TMac or KMart.

Re: Bulls Looking at Kenyon Martin?
He was money as a jumpshooter last season and he's good for some hustle, definitely worth the minimum.

Do we really? My understanding is we're up against the umbrella, hence the failure to sign Teague so far. |

It also sounds like Kirk was signed to $4.0 million, not $3.0 million as was first reported, so we don't really have any MLE left unless we want to give someone like Malcolm Thomas more than a minimum contract to entice him to sign with us. |

Re: Bulls Looking at Kenyon Martin?
It would definitely be a weakness, although I think the more likely scenario is that we keep Rip and only grab one of the two guys we are pursuing.
If KMart is that guy, Belinelli or Butler starts until Rose gets back and Kirk slides over to the SG (unless Belinelli or Butler prove themselves better: Hinrich/Robinson/Teague Belinelli/Butler/Hinrich Deng/Butler/Radmanovic Boozer/Gibson/KMart Noah/Gibson/Mohammed The more likely (I think) lineup: Hinrich/Robinson/Teague Hamilton/Belinelli/Butler Deng/Butler/Radmanovic Boozer/Gibson/Thomas Noah/Gibson/Mohammed Like I said, I think KMart is more of a contingency plan to missing on McGrady and Malcolm Thomas. |
