Eddy Curry
NBA.com has posted that the Mavericks have released our old friend Eddy Curry, so that they could sign Troy Murphy.
Any interest in picking him up as cheap insurance hehind Noah and Nazr? |

No.
If we lose Noah, the season is lost, with or without Curry. If we lose Nazr, then we address that at that time. If Curry is available, then we can look at him, but my guess is there will be a few big laying around available that can play better defense than Curry. Re: Eddy Curry
I wish Eddy Curry the absolute best wherever he ends up... just... not with us. Firefight is right, just about any live body will help us more defensively than Curry.

Re: Eddy Curry
Okay! I can understand the reluctance, based on what Curry has done over the last few years. He has really been a frustrating, no effort kind of player for a long time.
I admit I keep remembering him with the Bulls, scoring almost at will around the basket. I want to think he has grown now. Some of his comments when he joined the Mavericks seemed to indicate that he might have finally matured and be ready to actually work. If so, I would love to see what Coach Thibodeau could do with him. |
