Bulls must take advantage of Suns

http://www.suntimes.com/output/banks...pt-banx17.html

Well, the Suns (3-6) aren't a top team. They have a worse record than the Bulls and are 2-3 at home. That game Tuesday to open the trip is the one the Bulls have the best chance of winning. But they must play with the defensive intensity they displayed in two of their last three games and reduce their 18.9 turnovers per game, second worst in the league.

More than anything, Cartwright is displeased the Bulls didn't take better advantage of playing seven of their first 11 games at home.

"Our fans deserve better,'' he said.

How much do you want to bet Kirk scores over 20 tomorrow. After the Hornets game, BC asked Kirk to slow down and protect the ball more carefull. He inturn made made major adjustments to his play the next game. Now that BC has given Hinrich the greenlight to shoot, I bet he will have a career high.

Let's hope he gets a career high....which shouldn't be that hard - His career high is 11 points. Let's just hope he runs the offense, plays tough D, and keeps his turnovers below 4.

Much like the three C's - give him time to develop. None of our young guys is consistent or fully developed.

Stephon Marbury doesn't exactly let pg's push him around. Tony Parker can't do anything against the guy. I'm more worried about Kirk containing Starbury. (a PG who is allowed to shoot the ball without a time-out and a spanking).

ill take this bet! Kirk has a great shot, its the best part of his game. But this kids head must be spinning with all the crap he is hearing. Jamal lost his job because he shot too much. Kirk got the job because he was supposedly "pass-first". Kirk has been relatively ineffective on offense cause all he does is think about making the pass. And that has led to some of the most embarrasing TOs of the year. And his handles still havent gotten better, inspite of what most think. As soon as Seattle even pressured him a little, they barely did, he double dribbled in the backcourt 84 feet away from the rim. Now BC wants him to shoot? OH THE HYPOCRISY! Lets dump jamal cause he shoots, but put Kirk in there now too..............................Shoot the ball? does this make any sense to anyone? Kirk should shoot the ball. its what he does best. but like and so many others have said, he is a 2 guard, not a 1. and he is being misused right now, and frankly he must be wondering what the heck is going on

I think the difference in most people's minds about Kirk shooting is that he passes up open shots to make an extra pass. People weren't accusing Jamal of doing that, as far as I know. When Jamal does get into his "scared to shoot" mode (thanks for that, Fartwright), his head probably spins even faster than Kirk's.

of course, my "insight" is based on not being able to see the games on TV and relying on message boards for analysis of the games

Chandler and Stoudamire.

Should be a great matchup. Chandler has been playing pretty good thus far.

VF, there is some truth to that. But like i said, BC is still a hypocrite. he tells one kid to shoot and keeps him out there. He tells the other kid to stop shooting, and leaves him on the bench. Kirk isnt the God that alot of people on this board make him out to be. and we have basically lost JC because of BCs and probably more so Paxs insistence that Hinrich be the man. Like i have said a million times before. To dump JC to put in Kirk was just plain stupid, considering JC was leading us in 2 very important categories at the time of his benching. It was a clear signal that favorites are being played. What i could have bought however was if JC was benched in favor or someone like Scottie Pippen. That would have made sense. Pippen has the tenure and experiece and that would have been legit. But Kirk? no way. And if JC was benched, why hasnt Curry been benched either?
