Looking Back

I remember the day before the draft Kirk telling me he was told that Miami might pick him at #5. If this had happened and Wade was picked by us at #7 would Dwayne Wade also be our starting PG right now?

He'd be our starting 2 guard, and we would play him and Crawford together. They would be very nice together, no?

just curious, but you know Kirk personally? Does he read internet boards? I know Jamal does occasionally.

I'd also say they could've moved Jamal to 2 and Rose to 3. I dont understand why the Bulls are drafting all these point guards though, especially when they seem to still want Jay Will to come back which makes 3 high draft pick pg's, 1 possibly getting very little value in exchange for(Crawford). Then they want to trade for another big man when they already have Curry, Chandler, Fizer, Baxter, and Donyell. Othella isnt really much of an upgrade over them.

Who knows what the Bulls are thinking at this point.

I do know Kirk and no he does not read messageboards. As for the Bulls they do not expect Jay Will back which is why they drafted Kirk. Had Jay not gotten hurt Jamal was going to be traded. Since he did they drafted Kirk as insurance in case Jamal did not improve the way they wanted him to. He hasn't and Kirk has impressed though so Jamal is back on trading block. Only problem is his value is real low right now. As for them wanting a big man here is the reasoning. Fizer is gone maybe in a JC trade. They see Marshall as a 3/4 and Blount as a fringe minute player not a regular rotation man. They leaves a gaping hole at backup 4/5. They need a tough,hard-nosed, defensive rebounder. Is Harrington the man for that job? Prolly not but this is where they are targeting compensation in a JC and/or Fizer trade along with a future 1st rd pick. Which is why I recommend a JC/Fizer for Kurt Thomas/future 1st rd pick(lottery protected).
