Who do you blame?
Most people seem to be upset at Jim Paxson as well as at Boozer and his agent. So who do you blame more for what has happened?

I blame ****ing Carlos "Mo Money So I can buy my" Booz-er. Sure Paxson looks dumb now for *gasp* trusting Carlos Boozer to be a man. But that's just it. Boozer isn't a man. He's just a sniveling little money whore who doesn't give a damn about anything but his pocket book. He's the new Juwan Howard. I don't know how he will be able to even show up for the olympics practice now and look Lebron in the eye now. That's such complete bull****.
Damn I'm pissed.

The GM messed up here. From a business point of view why not give the 700k dollars next year. Do you really feel the need to make 7 million for kicks? Then he loses the guy. Screwed up all over the place here.

The stingy management! The reason they opted out of the 700k was to save money next season when Boozer would be a restricted FA with bird rights (and they'd have to match offers going well over $60 million). They thought they could lock him up for the MLE, and feed him crap about wanting to lock him up as easrly as possible.

While I'm not completely sure on what verbal agreements were said or what not, its definetly all on mgmt.
They tried to get cute instead of doing what any sane GM would do and just lock him up for the 3rd year and see what happens after that.
It's also very curious that Boozer would leave the Cavs as they are only getting better. Did he have problems with people on the team??

Both of em... the Cavs were trying to worm their way into a good deal and they got burned.
However, Boozer and his agent are scummy as all get out for going back on their word. They're all boobs.
