What exactly does Orlando get out of this trade? They already have a better defensive/ shotblocking C in Kelvin Cato and they traded away Juwan Howard so Drew Gooden could get more minutes. Wagner doesn't fit on a team that already has Mobley and Francis whereas Nelson is a nice change b/c he is a willing passer yet still can score.

Now the key to this deal is Wagner, otherwise i doubt they do it. Gooden has low value right now but i think he has a lot of untapped potential and Silas could turn him into a player. Cleveland ends up getting jameer nelson, whom they had interest in. Orlando can do what they will with Wagner as a backup 1,2. Newble is a bad contract gone but could be serviceable as a backup defensively. Cleveland could use Stevenson’s athleticism off the bench and declerq is just a scrub throw in.

Oh ya and diop, he could be a legitimate backup 4/5 for them.. Key word COULD. I know gooden cant be a backup 5 for them, so its definitely a plus... I'm just trying to look for anything positive out of this crappy situation that just transpired.

I don't want to lose Diop. The Cavs frontcourt is so thin already, and really Diop is the future. I think Silas has him coming along at a nice pace.

I would rather see some deal that could net them Swift or Harrington. Provided that deal keeps Diop and Luke Jackson. I could part with Z, though it would be really tough at this point. And Wagner is expendable.

Maybe Lebron should just learn the power forward position? He could probably be better than Boozer ever would have been.

Orlando is giving up alot to get back a little. Wagner and Diop are still entirely potential. Gooden has proved he can play, as has Stevenson. They just traded a future first for Nelson and I don't think they will be so quick to give him up. I still don't understand why Orlando even thinks about doing this deal.
