Cavs/Port
Cavs trade Z. Ilgauskas
TO
Port for S.A.R.
Cavs P.O.V.
S.A.R. is the best solution to be the Cavs new PF due to CB-1's departure. He's young (27), a 20/10 guy on a nightly basis. Also has good defense. He has a great attitude and is capable of helping the Cavs win games on the nightly basis.
Port P.O.V.
Ilgauskas will give the Blazers the advantage of having a big man in the low post. His scoring, rebounding, and shot blocking ability will help the Blazers win games on the nightly basis and imagine the Blazers in the playoffs with a big man like him in the starting lineup.
P.S. The contracts of both players are the same length and will not effect neither teams salary cap whatsoever.
Any comments?

why is everyone so desperate to trade Ilgauskas?
His contract may be big, but if Boozer leaves, he is your inside game.

SAR has become criminally underrated. I like it more than getting Kurt Thomas, I'll tell you that.

y is everyone for trading Z. He is a great player, he supposedly likes playing in cleveland and when he dominates we win.
Yes he has a huge contract but if we trade him we r gonna get some other overpaid player as well. You can't just come by 7'2 players with skill very often and now especially with diop pretty much showing no signs of improvement we really need Z.

I agree, but since when did we goto a fire sale to get the best we can get no matter what?
Bottom line is, SAR is coming off the bench in Portland, so Im not giving up a starter for a non starter...espcially one that has never put up stats on a good team.

That's fair.
What about this:
Cleveland trades Z to Seattle
Seattle trades Rashard Lewis and Calvin Booth or Jerome James to Chicago
Chicago trades Tyson Chandler and Eddie Robinson to Cleveland.
Seattle receives:
Z
Chicago:
Rashard Lewis
Calvin Booth
Cleveland:
Tyson Chandler
Eddie Robinson

I agree, but I am not an advocate for the trading of Z. I would rather take a run at Swift or attempt to get a young PF for Wagner perhaps.

Why do that? Atleast SAR is proven. If we were to get Curry, Id jump all over that...but Chandler is still up in the air.
I dont like the idea of trading Z at all....espcially with Shaq in the East now. Z can wear Shaq down because he runs around a lot on O and gets him out of the lane to open it up for cuts. No other center can do that.

LOL...if he was he would be starting and wouldnt be on the blocks from every team he has played on.
There are always rumors with Z, but that is from teams wanting him, not the Cavs shopping. Big difference with SAR.
SAR is a dime a dozen player, where as Z is one of four or five in the entire NBA.

Maybe trade to Chicago for Curry and/or Chandler
It seems they are not doing it in Chicago and like many High scollers they might need a change.
I'm not talking about a strait deal Z for Curry and Chandler but things could be worked out.
Chicago needs veteran leader**** and Cleveland beeds guys that will be with James in the ling run.
