Cavs vs. Raptors (10/29/04)

4:00 pm PT, 7:00 pm ET

This is the preseason finale before the Cavaliers take on Indiana for the first game of the regular season (what a strong test for your first game, by the way).

The main thing I'm going to look for is if the Cavs can stay consistent. Last year, the team played well in the first half, often got bombed in the 3rd quarter and tried rallying in the 4th. In the preseason, the team starts off slow in the 1st, picks it up a little in the 2nd quarter and suddenly plays much better in the 2nd hafl. So let's see if the team can keep it on instead of switching it on and off.

Hey, what's up with Tractor Traylor? He has like 19 points at halftime!

How's everyone look today?

Halftime

Cavs - 57
Raptors - 63

Traylor has 19 points and is pacing the Cavaliers. He is the only Cav in double figures for points. Unexpected. The Raptors have a balanced attack going.

Gooden - Decent
James - Okay
Snow - Good

Tractor Traylor with 29 points. I noticed alot of people were playing tonight. But Drew Gooden has about 12 min i hope its only b/c Tractor is having a good game and not b/c he got hurt.
We went deep into our bench and are still only 1 back in the 4th quarter.

Lebron James is struggling........

Traylor with a career high in points AND rebounds...too bad it doesn't count. Still a nice game for him.

Silas clearly knows what he has... he used this game as a further look at his bench... check the minutes played, and Tractor, Sasha, Snow and Luke all had more minutes than the starters. No sense getting a starter injured.

Clev accomplished what it needed to do in the preseason... what can Gooden provide, what is the best rotation (Snow with the 2nd unit), who to start at SG, who is ready to contribute off the bench (Gooden, Snow, Sasha, Ira, DaJaun). Mission accomplished. Now some more practice to fine-tune and put in some new wrinkles, and lets get ready to rumble!
